The next day, the lone old man woke up, to the sound of his door bell ringing. Upon opening the door, a beautiful thin blond woman appeared - with sharp piercing blues eyes like the ocean waves and a fragrant sweet scent emitting from her silhouette. He welcomed her into the home, purchased a new silk wardrobe, the finest gold, and maids and servants to tend to her every need. The lone old man was very happy, his hairs grew back and his smile returned. The clock, with which the matchmaker gifted him was placed right in the dining hall, a reminder to the old man of his new found joy, and the well-deserved time he spent waiting for his beautiful Squaresvillian wife. As time went on, her smile faded, and his daughters kept their mouths shut as they did not want upset their dad. But behind closed doors, the stepmom barked orders at them, stole their clothes bit by bit, and accused them of unthinkable things which led their father to cease speaking with them.

As the days flew by, the daughters fell ill one by one. They could not figure out their illness, as they ate the finest foods, danced ballet, and did not endure any hard labor, other than what the step mother would subject them to from time to time. Day by day, pimples popped up on their once glowy and youthful faces, their hairs became dull, and their under-eyes developed deep dark circles. The girls did not know what to do and just accepted their fates.
